Emerson gives $350000 to Opera Theatre of Saint Louis
To establish the Emerson Technology & Production Training Center at the Sally S. Levy Opera Center.The center will include a state-of-the-art digital media lab enabling students, interns and leading professionals to master new technologies in video and lighting design, video projection and scenic automation. The center will also incorporate an adjacent rehearsal hall, allowing production artists to instantly transfer technology applications to a rehearsal setting.
The new technology center completes the Sally S. Levy Opera Center, which was conceived under the leadership of former General Director Charles MacKay and made possible by the $11 million Building for Opera campaign, opera officials said.
Timothy O'Leary is the opera's general director.

Opera Theatre ‘s Young Friends program is offering two more Young Friends Nights at Opera Theatre on June 11, and 23. The program is for patrons 45 years and young. Tickets are limited.
Cost is $45 for a private pre-show dinner buffet at 6:30 p.m. and a ticket to the opera.
For $25 more, you can buy a second Young Friends Night with a “Pick Two” Pass. Single tickets are regularly priced at $25 – $120.
The buffet is by Ces and Judy’s catering. Special guests, including season artists and young friends from other local and national organizations will be on hand at the tent at each night,
The performance, sung in English and accompanied by members of the St. Louis Symphony, begins at 8pm.
