Crazy Buffet In Orland Florida

Wonderful finds on East Coast vacation

One of my favorite places to eat, or maybe overeat, is Crazy Buffet in West Palm Beach. This is not your ordinary Chinese buffet. This place includes a sushi buffet (yes, all you can eat sushi), the usual Chinese fare, and chocolate fountain to coat marshmallows and fruit with warm chocolate. This was our second time to eat at Crazy Buffet, and yes, we’ll be going back. Another restaurant my family and I enjoyed is a place called Sweet Tomatoes, and yes, this is another buffet. However, this buffet is geared more toward the health conscious. The buffet begins with a huge salad bar with several different salads. Then you move toward a buffet line of pasta, several different types of soup, breads, fruit and more. Sweet Tomatoes has a sister chain of restaurants known as Souplantaion, and the name depends on location, but they have restaurants in 15 states, mostly in the southeast and southwest. One new attraction in Kannapolis is the Curb Music and Motorsports Museum. This is an interesting museum that showcases the personal collection of recording mogul Mike Curb. During a distinguished career spanning almost five decades, Curb has earned multi-faceted success as a songwriter, producer and record company owner. Curb Records has produced more than 300 No. 1 records. The museum, located on Dale Earnhardt Blvd., houses quite a collection of racecars and classic street cars from today and yesteryear. Honestly, the museum wasn’t open when I went by, but much of the museum can be seen from the huge plate glass windows that face the street. One of my favorites that I saw was the blue and red painted STP No. 43, driven by Richard Petty.

The Healthy Hoff: Even Vegans Eat Like Royalty in the Magic ...

Having recently returned from this magical place, Amy came with goodies in hand - Vegan, Gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookies from Disney's Vegan Bakery - BabyCakes NYC!  That's right, Disney World has a Vegan Bakery - holla!!!  I pressed Amy to learn more and I was blown away by her Vegan experiences and behind the scenes knowledge, so I asked her to share with all of you so you too can add Disney to your list of Vegan friendly vacation spots. Asking me how many times I’ve been to Walt Disney World (WDW) is like asking someone how many times they been to the movies. I just couldn’t possibly count. Between all the childhood trips with my family, working there during my college years, and visiting almost every weekend when I lived in Florida, I consider it more of a home than any apartment I’ve lived in since I left my parent’s house. What I’m saying is, I kinda like the place. Which is why I was excited when The Healthy Hoff asked me to write a piece about all the delicious vegan food I ate on my most recent trip. What’s that you say? VEGAN food at a theme park?!?! No, we’re not talkin’ cotton candy and food on a stick (although there’s plenty of that to be had, if that’s what you’re looking for). Walt Disney World boasts some of the finest dining in the country, including a AAA 5 Diamond awarded restaurant, as well as venues from celebrity chefs like Todd English, Cat Cora, and Wolfgang Puck. Between four theme parks, two water parks, 2 shopping/nighttime districts, and 20+ hotels on property, you could stay at Walt Disney World for a month and still not eat at all of their restaurants.  WDW is 47 square miles (twice the size of Manhattan island!), so it’s not an exaggeration to say that it is its own city. Walt Disney World has a Head Chef for the entire resort, as well as Executive Chefs at each theme park.
