PRINCETON — Today, Thursday, there will be a Christmas After School Craft from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Princeton Public Library; and Think Tank: What’s the Use of Remembering? Nostalgia Pros and Cons will meet at 6:30 p.m.
On Monday, the Princeton Theater Group will meet at 3:30 p.m.; and the Monday Night Movie at 6:30 p.m. has Scrooge face the ghosts of Christmas past, present and yet to come.
On Tuesday, a preschool story hour will be held at 10:30 a.m., and the theme will be Christmas. All area preschoolers and parents or guardians are welcome to attend. Also, meet with Santa at 6:30 p.m., with readings at 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Society of Creative Anachronism will meet at 6:30 p.m.
On Dec. 22, a Christmas after-school craft will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
SHEFFIELD — The Sheffield Public Library offers three computers for its patrons’ use, so children can learn from the complete experience of first reading the books, then going to the website to listen to the book being read aloud, watch video clips, play interactive games and try hands-on experiments. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children when selecting these new books, however, the library staff is available to assist readers in accessing the appropriate websites.
Pinkalicious is another new series of books in the Easy Reader category that will soon be added to the children’s department! Watch for details on this group of beautifully illustrated and fun stories for ages 5 and up.
The library invites readers of all ages to stop in and check out all of the new books, as well as a great selection of classics. Hours are Monday 1 to 7 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday 1 to 7 p.m., Friday 1 to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. The library is closed Thursday and Sunday.
LAMOILLE —The LaMoille-Clarion Public Library is inviting all area residents to come by the library through Tuesday to choose a mitten off the Christmas tree. Each mitten will have the sex and age of a child within the district so that patrons can buy gifts of clothing/and or toys to help brighten their holiday. Unwrapped gifts should be returned to the library by Wednesday for distribution to the parents of the children. Call the library at 815-638-2356 for more information.

Christmas in La Grange, a Fine Art and Gift Gallery, runs through Dec. 30 at La Grange Art League Gallery and Studio, 122 Calendar Ave., La Grange. More than 60 artists have submitted unique items for this event.
