Gauntlet Legends Video/Monitor Issues - Classic Arcade Game ...

Hi Everyone, I am seeking any help I can get fixing a Gauntlet Legends and bring it back to life.  I have everything put into the game, and am having video or monitor issues.  Here is a video for example:

The picture is jumping horizontally, is blurry, and there are artifacts/white lines through characters and other objects in the game.

What am I looking at here?  Video card issues?  Monitor issues?  Both?

Thank you for any help you can give.

I think the first thing i would do is look over the game really well for loose fitting connectors both on the monitor and the game board. Sometimes just removing a PCB connector and reseating it can correct symptoms like this. It almost seems like a power supply disruption. Check over your power supply for loose wires at the screw straps. Another thing you can try is removing the game board connection and turn on the machine to see what the monitor is doing when it has no game signal. If it still gives this kind of scrambled interuption then it might direct you more to a monitor porblem. And if the scrambled disruption goes away when the game connector is removed them the problem sides with in the game circuit and wiring. You should be able to isolate this problem as one or the other.

I tried what you said, and reconnected all the board connections, Jamma connection, etc.  I also checked the power supply voltages, and it's within spec for everything.  The game does pass all of it's prelim. tests, and plays and sounds like it should besides the poor picture.

When I first power up the game, everything is going diagonal and is a total mess.  The only way to straighten it out, and have it at least look like the video I made, is to mess with the Horizontal Hold.  If I turn the game off and then back on, it basically goes back to being completely messed up diagonal again.
